Countertop installation can take 1 to 3 days to complete, depending on the size of the office and the complexity of the installation. This time frame also includes disconnecting and reconnecting any plumbing lines as needed.

There are a few kitchen countertop materials that are considered low maintenance. Laminate is a budget-friendly option that’s easy to clean, nonporous, and doesn’t need to be sealed. Recycled glass countertops are nonporous, smooth, and resistant to heat and staining.

If the granite surface immediately takes in most of the water and develops a dark mark or ring, you need to seal it once every few months. If it takes a few minutes for your stone countertop to soak up all the water, you only need to seal it once every year or two.

Porcelain’s non-porous nature makes it highly resistant to staining. It doesn’t absorb any liquids, making it very easy to maintain. Porcelain countertops can be wiped down with mild soap and water or non-abrasive cleaners.
